FINNISH TIKKAKOSKI Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R
INFANTRY Rifle C&R
FINLAND MANUFACTURED Military Rifle with BAYONET
Description: FINNISH TIKKAKOSKI Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R INFANTRY Rifle C&R FINLAND MANUFACTURED Military Rifle with BAYONET Here we present a C&R Finnish Tikkakoski Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant Rifle built circa 1944 at Tikkakoski. This rifle is a 1930 variant of the original Model 1891. When Finland achieved independence from Russia in late 1917, over 190,000 Model 1891 infantry rifles were already stockpiled in the ex-Russian military depots within Finland. As a result, the rifle was adopted as the standard Finnish Army weapon, and surplus Mosin–Nagants were purchased from other European nations which had captured them during World War I. These rifles were overhauled to meet Finnish Army standards and designated the M/91. Later, starting in 1940, Tikkakoski and VKT began production of new M/91 rifles. VKT ceased in 1942 in favor of the newer M/39 rifle, but Tikkakoski production continued through 1944. The M/91 was the most widely issued Finnish rifle in both the Winter War and the Continuation War. The Model 1891 known in the West as the Mosin–Nagant and in Russia as Mosin's rifle is a five-shot, bolt action, internal magazine fed military rifle that was developed from 1882 to 1891 and used by the armed forces of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and various other nations including Finland, such as this one. It is one of the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units having been made since its inception in 1891, and, in spite of its age, it has been used in various conflicts around the world up to the present day. The overall condition is very good. Armory refinished. The action is excellent. The bore is in good shape with good rifling. The numbers on the receiver and barrel match, but others are mismatched. Import marked. Solid stock. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 29 inches. Caliber: 7.62x54 R Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1350 #220477 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
