French MAS Model 1949-56 "Pride of the French Foreign Legion" 7.5x54mm French with Original Scope Package

For Sale is a very nice French MAS (Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Etienne) Model 1949-56, also known as "The Pride of the French Foreign Legion", chambered in the original 7.5x54mm French cartridge.  The rifle was imported by C.A.I. and is in very good+ condition with everything functioning very smoothly (i.e. action, sight adjustments, mag release, etc.).  The 19.5" compensated barrel has a very nice bright bore with strong rifling and also features the adjustable grenade launcher attachment.  The wood is in excellent condition with the exception of one very small, pen-tip size ding near the receiver.  All of the metal is in great shape as well with a few light handling marks and some very light finish wear consistent with the age of the rifle.  This rifle also comes with an original scope package that includes the scope, mount, eye relief piece, and manual (in French) in the original canister, all of which are in very good condition.  The rifle is also equipped with a very good condition leather sling and one 10-round magazine.  L.O.P. is 13-3/4" over a nice "MAS 1962" buttstock pad.  This is a very interesting piece of military history that would make an excellent addition to any collection.  Feel free to call or text with any questions.  Thanks for looking!
