Description:
French Berthier Model 1907/15 bolt-action rifle, cal. 8×50mmR Lebel, made by Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne (MAS), SN: H54064. Standard length long barrel and battle/ladder rear sight whose back surface graduated from 9-24, sight base numbered 4-8 with inspection marking. En-bloc clip-fed system, with a three-round internal magazine and open-bottom clip ejection. The left receiver is marked “St Étienne Mle 1907/15,” with the serial number H54064 stamped on the left side of the barrel shank, trigger guard extension, and repeated on the bolt handle and the left side of the buttstock. Full-length military stock with finger grooves, a circular cartouche on the right side of the buttstock dated August 1916, along with additional inspection and sub-inspector marks consistent with wartime production and military service. Unmarked reproduction sling.

An all-matching French 1907/15 rifle with VG+ original finish and sharp edge wear, slight fading/thinning/freckling, as one might expect from a rifle that saw relatively light service with subsequent storage. In-the-white bolt assembly with minimal staining. Oil darkened stock with scattered handling marks, but no cracks or distracting gouges. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics.
