Description:
Gustloff KKW (Kleinkaliber Wehrsportgewehr) .22 LR bolt-action POLICE training rifle manufactured by Gustloff-Werke (Waffenwerke Suhl), SN: 240603. The top of the receiver is marked with the Gustloff-Werke logo and “Waffenwerke Suhl,” the left side with the Eagle/C police acceptance, the right side stamped “K.K. Wehrsportgewehr,” and the barrel marked “Kal. .22 Lang für Büchsen.” Matching bolt handle with a lightly electropenciled "603". Eagle/N proofing consistent with World War II–era production. As a standard military/police trainer, it has a full-length stock with separate handguard, hooded front sight, tangent rear sight graduated from 25-200, and a buttstock disassembly disc. This KKW was produced as a training rifle for the German police, intended to replicate the handling characteristics of the contemporary German service rifles.
Condition:
VG+ with thinning and slight discoloration in areas of usual contact to include the receiver bridge, bolt knob, and bottom of the trigger guard. Nice haloing around the acceptance and police stamps that were applied after the bluing. Original finish walnut stock with a light scattering of handling marks, no splits. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
