ISRAELI MAUSER vz98N WWII Czech BRNO 7.62x51 Bolt Action MILITARY Rifle C&R c1948 POST-WWII Weapon of the Israeli Defense Forces
Description: ISRAELI MAUSER vz98N WWII Czech BRNO 7.62x51 Bolt Action MILITARY Rifle C&R c1948 POST-WWII Weapon of the Israeli Defense Forces Here we present a C&R Israeli vz98N Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, made in the post-World War II in Brno, Czechoslovakia. This rifle would have been purchased for the Haganah, the precursor of the Israeli Defense Forces, in the mid-20th Century. This rifle was made from surplus parts after World War II in Communist Czechoslovakia. Those in favor of a Jewish state were eager for the weapons, and surprisingly, they were provided by the Soviet Union under Stalin. These rifles had a very long service life: from the late-1940s through the 70s. Since Israel adopted the FN FAL in 7.62x51 NATO, they began to re-chamber many of these rifles for the newer cartridge. This rifle features an interesting combination of markings with the Czech rampant lion over the receiver ring, Third Reich Nazi proofs on the magazine well parts, large “7.62” markings (one over the rampant lion on the receiver and one branded into the toe area of the stock), and the Israeli markings on the barrel, stock and butt plate (these include a Star of David and a date of “2-57” among some others). Numbers are mixed throughout, as they tend to be with these Israeli rifles. A neat piece of history! Overall condition is good. Strong action. Bright bore with nice rifling. The stock is dark with age and use and solid throughout. There is a small split at the very front of the top handguard, just forward of the barrel band. There is what appears to be a little soldier graffiti on the right buttstock. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24 inches. Caliber: 7.62x51 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1615 #210213 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
