Keng's Firearms SKS Type 56 Chinese Public Security Carbine 7.62x39, 20rd mag, stamped 416 Arsenal

Used surplus condition sold as is.

This is a Keng’s Firearms Specialties imported Chinese Public Security SKS. A Chinese Security SKS is a Type 56 Carbine produced at one of three specific state-owned/controlled arsenals expressly for issue to soldiers of the National Public Security Forces and are marked as such. It has two two Chinese ideographs on the right side of the receiver. Also, the bolt carrier is a very dull matte finish. They are identified by arsenal /26\, /416\, [0140], [0141], [0144], and were imported through KFS (Keng’s Firearms Specialties) in Atlanta. Research shows it was a very small lot of a pallet or two that came through that importer. This SKS has a side folding choate style stock, with a cheese grater style upper handguard. It also has a 20 round magazine and green canvas style sling equipped. Finish shows light handling marks on bluing and chamber shows to be very clean, with only wear seen to be in the receiver rails from the bolt being pulled back to show clear. Alongside the Chinese Ideographs identifying Public Security, the left side of the receiver shows a Chinese State Arsenal 416 stamping, identifying 1972-1973 manufacture year. Due to these being issued to Public Security, these SKS’ were known to be of above average quality of manufacturing, with noticeably better bluing, and matte bolts.
