Description:
Standard configuration ZFK 31/55, cal. 7.5x55mm, one of approximately 5000 such rifles, an evolution of the K31 /42 and K31/43 sniper rifles, this one with telescopic sights, heavy barrel, flash suppressor/muzzle brake, and center-mounted foldable bipod. In addition to the standard K31 rear sight calibrated from 1-15, these guns were fitted with a quick detachable 3.5 power Kern telescopic sight, with serial numbering on top surface, whose reticle includes a thick central post with two horizontal hairs. The receiver has a Swiss “cross over chamber” with full serial number on left receiver and bolt. Matching barrel, magazine, scope, and scope can that is absent the screw driver. Sling dated "56".
Condition:
VG+ original finish with fading, sharp edge wear, and handling marks as one might expect from a military or police rifle that has seen moderate use. Original finish stock with a few hairline cracks in the handguard and scattered discolorations and bruises, the acceptance mark on the right side of the buttstock deeply impressed. VG+ original finish bipod, EXC matching magazine. Comparable or better condition, matching scope can (no screw driver) and scope, the latter with bright, crisp optics and a sharp reticle. Supple oil-soaked sling. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics.
