Rare Fabrique National M49 Eagle Of Saladin 8mm W/ Bayonet & Scabbard Egyptian Army Description: Gorgeous FN M49 with the Eagle of Saladin Crest with Egyptian Army wrote in Egyptian under the Eagle on the top of the reciever. The Eagle of Saladin Crest was done towards the end of M49 production before FN shut down the production. Roughly only around 1500 were made with the eagle crest on the reciever. This rifle also comes with a era appropriate sling. Also a bayonet with SA 30 markings along with B crown over J. The scabbard is not marked. Bayonet & Scabbard value $150. (Here is a better explanation. FN made 37,600 FN-49 rifles for Egypt. All of the FN made rifles had the Crown crest. Egypt also bought approx 1,500 bare receivers from FN. These bare receivers had the Eagle of Saladin crest with "Egyptian Army" in Arabic inscribed under the eagle. These bare Eagle crested receivers may have been intended as replacements or to assemble rifles locally. Apparently no rifles were ever built by the Egyptians and All these bare Eagle crested receivers were sold to Century along with the rest of Egypt's inventory of spare parts and rifles.Century assembled these Eagle crested rifle here in the U.S. using their inventory of spare parts. These rifles also have a unique serial numbering sequence which has the letter "D" at it's beginning. The numbers are also numbered using smaller stamps than original FN produced rifles)--Taken from a forum thread. Not our information. The recievers of these rifles were egyptian recievers that were later assembled by CAI the importer. But there was only 1500 of these receivers done with the Eagle Crest. Please review review photos carefully as this rifle is in excellent shape. Feel free to contact us for further questions or concerns. Shipping will be $85 on this rifle. We accept USPS Money Order and or Credit Card. There will be a 3% pocessing fee on final value for credit card purchase. Thanks for looking. SOLD |
