Rare WWI French Mle. 1917 RSC MA T 8mm Lebel Semi-Auto Rifle Early Model

Really a super condition example of the rare French Mle. 1917 RSC 8mm Lebel semi-auto rifle. This is the early model with the aluminum cocking knob. MA T 1917 marked. September 1917 stock cartouche. Matching numbers with the exception of transitional bolt hold open device. From what we can tell, this gun was arsenal altered by removal of the gas block for issuance to colonial troops following WWI. We have not fired this gun. Good mechanical function. Retains 90% original finish overall. Markings are clear. As with some of these, the receiver is not marked on the left side. Wood has some light dings and handling marks. No cracks. We have not disassembled this gun. Bore is fine with strong sharp rifling. Not import marked. Serial number F21168
