Attractive Russian Tula Mosin-Nagant 91/30 sniper rifle, dated 1944, cal. 7.62x54R, a nicer-than-usual arsenal rework with a matching scope mount, a 1942 dated PU scope, and a mirror bright bore. A significant and no longer importable military firearm from WWII!

Description:

Standard configuration Mosin Nagant 91/30 bolt action rifle made in Tula Arsenal, dated 1944 chambered in 7.62x54mmR, with a hooded pin front sight, a tangent rear sight graded 1-20, and a standard 1942 dated PU scope, SN: A-24587. Import marked with SN: R18011 however, the original SN: ??149 is on major components to include: barrel, scope mount, bolt, floorplate, and buttplate. Stock is marked on the left side with a "02"; on the right side with the Izhevsk logo and dated 1944. Acceptance marks scattered through the entire rifle to include the cleaning rod. Original leather scope caps.

Condition:

Near EXC metal as arsenal reworked, now with nearly 99% salt blue finish, the markings on the barrel shank nicely cratered/haloed. EXC original condition scope with crisp reticle and bright optics. G/VG Handguard with original finish. The replacement Tula stock has been revarnished, the the usual markings on the buttstock under the finish. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics.
