Here we present a C&R Soviet Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 Rifle made in 1938 at the Tula Arsenal with a production run between 1891 and 1973 and most certainly saw action in World War II. The Imperial Tula Arms Plant was a Russian weapons manufacturer founded by Tsar Peter I of Russia in 1712 in Tula, Tula Oblast as Tula Arsenal. Throughout its history, it has produced weapons for the Russian state. It was produced for standard issue to all Soviet infantry from 1930 to 1945. Most Dragoon rifles were also converted to the M1891/30 standard.

This example is dated “1938” and marked with the Soviet hammer and sickle, along with numerous inspection marks. It is chambered in the 7.62x54R cartridge, with a magazine capacity of 5.

The overall condition is good. Arsenal refurbished. Robust action. Mostly bright bore, with serviceable rifling. The stock is very good with expected handling wear. Markings are legible. Barrel, receiver and magazine floorplate pre-import numbers match. “C.A.I.” Import Marked. The toe has a stable repaired.
