Yugoslavian Model 95M Mannlicher Rifle
Description: Serial #61591, 8mm Mauser, 24” barrel with a good-very good bore that has dark freckling within the grooves. This is a mostly matching, “STEYR/M.95M” marked rifle that has no import mark, and retains about 70-75% of the armory blue finish applied when the rifle was converted to 8mm Mauser. The blue that remains blends into a freckled gray patina on the balance with small scattered areas of pinprick pitting throughout. The mismatched bolt has a mottled pewter gray patina overall with dark freckling on and around the handle, as well as a series of small impact marks running along the right side of the bolt body. The matching numbered walnut stock and handguard are in good-very good condition with numerous handling marks and small blemishes scattered about the thick added oil finish. These were a modified version of the Wartime M.95 converted by Yugoslavia following World War II. They are not commonly encountered, and this example rates good-about very good condition overall.
