Unlike the many unmarked WWII US Remington Model 513-T training rifles, this rifle is marked US PROPERTY on the barrel and receiver. It was manufactured in September, 1943 (DMM barrel code). The barrel is also marked MILITARY FINISH in addition to the standard Remington markings. The 27"" 22LR caliber barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The barrel has a ramped blade front sight and the receiver is fitted with a Williams receiver sight. Approx. 98% of the parkerized finish remains. The stock is fine. Like many of the Remington Model 513-T military training rifles, this rifle has had the height of the comb slightly reduced. The bottom of the pistol grip has a boxed P which indicates that the rifle went through a military rebuild. The sling swivels are present. The action functions correctly.
