Classic WWII German military trainer rifle made by Gustloff Werke, marked for SA d. NSDAP, with bold cartouche on buttstock.

Description:

Standard configuration Gustloff-Werke Waffenwerk-Suhl Trainer rifle for SA-NSDAP chambered in .22 with drift adjustable serrated ramp front sight and tangent rear sight from 25-200 meters. Single shot receiver is marked with maker’s legend, caliber, SN, and “BUG” proof marks. Unnumbered bolt marked with the Gustloff "G". Military style trigger and safety. Smooth military style walnut stock with correct leather sling. Factory cleaning rod is not present. Smooth steel unmarked buttplate.

Condition:

VG with original blue showing sharp edge wear and fading as one would expect from a military training rifle that has seen moderate use. Comparable condition stock with numerous but superficial handling marks, the cartouche on the left side of the buttstock sharply imprinted. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. One of the more unusual German trainer rifles from WWII, this example entirely correct, and nicely marked with the desirable SA d. NSDAP logo.
