"US Model 1896 Krag .30-40 Krag (AL6085)

"

This is a standard US Model 1896 Krag rifle in good condition. The 30"" round 30US (30-40 Krag) caliber barrel has an excellent bore. The barrel is blue-brown with wear at the muzzle where a bayonet was fitted. It is equipped with the Model 1896 rear sight. The receiver has the U.S. Springfield Armory, Model 1896, and serial number, 62348. It is a mixture of blue and brown. The stock is very good with no cracks or chips and light wear. The butt plate has a rough rusted area. It is equipped with a US Model 1907 sling. The action functions correctly. This is a good example of a gun that most likely saw service in either Cuba or the Philippines.
