Here's a Excellent Example of a WW2 Johnson Rifle! Serial Number 5997 . 7x57 mm caliber. According to the Johnson Records serial number 5997 went to the Chilean Military for a 1000 gun contract in WW2 . It's Sporting a Original 24" barrel. While the standard barrel length is 22" The Prototype barrel for the T-13 Rifle Testing was 24" . Furthermore Johnson offered the 24" as a option after testing! Very few examples are found ! But in this Serial number block there are many Examples with 24" barrels. Making this very Rifle very sought after by collectors ! ( see Canfield Book for Reference) Comes with a original Johnson Manual, original Boyt WW2 Sling , original Bayonet & Scabbard . Gun is in excellent original condition with most of its original finish still remaining! With handling marks . Comes with original sights. Original stocks are in excellent condition.
