LOP 13 1/8" Serial Number: 3711429 The M1 Carbine is a gun that epitomizes the American ethos, see a problem, design a solution, and get production going and get the product to the people who need it the most. As Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated- “Victory depends in large measure on the increased war production we are able to get from our factories and arsenals…This is total war. We are all under fire…soldiers and civilians alike-no one is a spectator. To win we must fight, and to fight we must produce.” Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this I.B.M manufactured 1943 dated M1 Carbine, serial number 3711429. International Business Machines was the final company to join the push to make M1 Carbines, it was to manufacture 346,500 Carbines during the Second World War, 371,429 were built in 1943. This example has some early features including high wood stock with the “I” cut oiler slot. The wood has the correct proofs. The I.B.M. barrel was made October 1943, the bore is mirror. This M1 Carbine is accessorized with a rare R.B. Hanson canvas carry bag, Evans sling, IBM oiler, three Underwood 15rnd magazines and an Atlas Awning mag pouch. Just about everything you need to get going, just add ammo! The M1 Carbine is one of the most collectable guns in the marketplace and prices continue to climb making these guns a solid investment.
