NPM/US&S M3 Carbine "U-Code" The M3 was a carbine fitted with a mount designed to accept an infrared sight for use at night. It was initially used with the M1 sniperscope, an active infrared sight, and saw action in 1945 with the Army during the invasion of Okinawa. This rare example has a Weaver scope mounted. Barrel is an Underwood dated 10-44. Rifle is in nice shape and perfect for the collector or anyone who likes surplus arms. .30 Carbine
