Pre-Owned - Remington Model 1917 .30-06 25.5" Rifle

Description:
Bolt action rifle with a 6 round integral magazine. Smooth action. 25.5" barrel. Top of barrel is stamped with flaming bomb ordnance mark and dated July 1918. When the United States entered World War I (April 6, 1917) they had a shortage of rifles. Production facilities were already set up to manufacture the British pattern 1914 rifle. Facilities were redesigned to accept the 30.06 cartridges and were pressed into service as the Model 1917. Remington, Winchester, and Eddystone manufactured approximately 2,200,000 M1917s. This particular model comes with a leather strap, and a rail to be equipped. The overall condition is great with only a few handling marks along the stock and receiver.
