Quality Hardware M1 Carbine, issued 1944. IBM barrel. IBM was one of the original barrel suppliers to Quality Hardware. The remainder of the compoines appear to be of those listed as supplied from WWII suppliers. Quality Hardware subcontracted Union Switch & Signal for parts and receivers.
This carbine is in excellent condition and obviously has been an arms room queen. Very little in the way of handling or usage marks . The barrel bore is bright and shiny throughout with no corrosion. Retains much of the period Parkerized finish with little thinning, wear, and loss; mostly along high edges and contact points. Markings in metal remain clear. Stock lightly sanded with legible markings, with the wood showing very light handling marks. Mechanically functional, fine, bright bore retains crisp rifling. A very presentable example of a scarce M1 Carbine.Very good condition, 95% or better finish, stock with no dings or cracks. Buttplate included and intact.
Comes with one 30 round magazine.
Has A-A stamped on stock left of receiver.
No import marks.
