Description: This M1 Carbine was part of the May 1943 to February 1944 production run at the Saginaw Steering Gear (General Motors) factory in Michigan. The 18"barrel with bayonet mount is marked Saginaw Steering Gear/General Motors. The trigger housing is Type 2. Sights are the second model rear adjustable micrometer with fixed Patridge blade front sight. The plain walnut stock has seen its share of use, with plenty of dings and dents to be seen. Metal parts are in good shape with minimal wear. The length of pull is 13 3/8", and the gun weighs only 5 lbs 6 oz. The action is smooth, and the bore is bright. It includes one RWB new-production 30-round magazine and a nylon replica sling.
