Description: Here is a very nicely done Springfield 1898 Krag sporter. This rifle is chambered for 30-40 Krag and has had extensive work done to convert it into a sporting rifle with a full length Mannlicher style stock. The side loading door has been removed and replaced with a flat swinging door. It is very well made and works perfectly. The rifle has a very nice Niedner stule buttplate and a receiver peep sight installed. This rifle is an antique as it was made in 1898 according to the ATF which considers all Krags below serial number 152670 as antiques.
