Here we present a C&R U.S. Smith-Corona Model 1903A3 Bolt Action Infantry Rifle, made in 1943 in Syracuse, New York. The 1903A3 rifle had a production run from 1903 through 1949 with over 3,000,000 produced. Early during World War II, Smith-Corona shifted away from making typewriters to producing Model 1903A3 Springfield Rifles with the assistance from Remington Arms and High Standard Manufacturing Company. Smith-Corona produced a total of 234,580 rifles during the course of the war. The overall condition is very good. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The stock is solid and has been cut back to make it handier as a hunting rifle. Other than the stock, this rifle has been largely left in its original configuration. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24 inches in length.
