WW1 US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle by Remington
Description: Serial #160411, .30-06, 26" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some minor pitting along the lands. This is a handsome rifle that has a 2-18 dated, "R" marked barrel and an "E" marked, Eddystone bolt. The metal has retained 75-80% of the original brushed blue finish, with silvering at the muzzle, and gray fading along the raised edges and contact points. The markings are crisp and clear, and the "R" marked stock and handguard are in fine condition, with minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about the added varnish finish. Additionally, the rifle is fitted with a Model 1907 type leather sling that is in good, serviceable condition, with crazing and minor flaking along the edges. A period US nickel steel oiler is included in the stock compartment. This is a nice example of a Model 1917 Enfield, and is in very good condition overall. FFL or C&R; SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
