"Pre-War Hex Receiver Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R (L2026-07022)
Description:
"Serial no. 9130020593. Originally manufactured in 1929 at Izhevsk Arsenal and later updated to M91/30 configuration during the 1930s, chambered in 7.62x54R, 29"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching. The left side of the receiver is import marked. The rifle was later post-war arsenal refurbished and remains in overall good condition, showing light handling and storage impressions. This rifle retains the desirable pre-war hex receiver, characteristic of earlier Mosin-Nagant production prior to the transition to simplified round receivers during the 1930s. Many earlier Dragoon and Model 1891 rifles were updated to M91/30 specifications as part of Soviet modernization programs before WWII. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
