SN: 18537. Made by Izhevsk in 1928 with a 29-inch barrel chambered for the 7.62x54mmR cartridge & the distinctive hexagonal receiver of the pre-1930 Mosin-Nagants. Rifle is in overall very good condition with some light pitting on the right side of the receiver, but it was refinished during a later arsenal service life extension re-build. Bore is a little on the dark side but it nevertheless has strong visible rifling. The wood is in especially good condition with only some light handling wear. Comes with a 26-inch cleaning rod, original Soviet-erasling & a 20-inch cruciform socket bayonet. Consignment.
