1944 Date Imperial Russia IZHEVSK ARSENAL Mosin-Nagant Model 44 C&R Carbine World War II Dated with FOLDING SPIKE BAYONET!
Description: 1944 Date Imperial Russia IZHEVSK ARSENAL Mosin-Nagant Model 44 C&R Carbine World War II Dated with FOLDING SPIKE BAYONET! Here we present a C&R Imperial Russia Mosin-Nagant Model 44 Carbine, made in 1944 at the Izhevsk Arsenal with a production run between 1944 and 1948. This carbine was introduced into service in late 1944 with 50,000 service-test examples being produced in 1943 and remained in production until 1948. They were produced from 1943 to 1948 at the Izhevsk arsenal and only in 1944 at the Tula Arsenal. Its specifications are very similar to the M1938, with the unique addition of a permanently affixed, side-folding cruciform-spike bayonet. A groove for the folded bayonet is inlet into the right side of the stock. From February 1944, this type of carbine was issued to Red Army infantry troops as a replacement for the standard Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant rifle. These were in use not only by the Soviet Union, but also its various satellite nations. The Soviet Model 1891 known in the West as the Mosin–Nagant and in Russia as Mosin's rifle is a five-shot, bolt action, internal magazine fed military rifle developed from 1882 to 1891 and used by the armed forces of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and various other nations. It is one of the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units having been made since its inception in 1891, and, in spite of its age, it has been used in various conflicts around the world up to the present day. This specimen is dated “1944” in the latter part of World War II and marked with numerous inspection marks. It is chambered in the 7.62x54R cartridge, with a magazine capacity of 5. Laminate stock. The overall condition is very good. Strong action. Bright bore. The stock is in very good shape with an average amount of wear. Good canvas sling. The numbers match and visible markings are legible. “1944” dated barrel. This example was nicely re-finished at some point. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: 7.62x54 R Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #217569 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
