Synopsis:

Attractive Finnish M-39 Military Bolt action rifle made by Sako, all matching, originally made in 1943 as a Mosin-Nagant, carefully reworked, now with an updated stock.

Description:

Standard configuration Finnish M-39 bolt action rifle from Sako chambered in 7.62x54mmR with adjustable front sight blade and tangent rear sight having base graded 2-8 and the ladder graded 1.5-20. Largely unmarked except for the top of the barrel with the Finnish military proof “[SA]”/Sako logo/235735/1943. Matching bolt numbered “5735”. Import markings under the barrel with SN repeated on right side of receiver flat. Post war stock circa 1956 based on configuration of forward dovetails with two plugged knots and usual toe reinforcement.

Condition:

EXC as reworked and restocked, the barrel markings remaining deep and crisp. Newer wood with only a few scattered handling marks. Very bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very attractive and all matching Finnish M-39 rifle made by Sako.
