Finnish M24 Lotta Mosin-Nagant with Sling 7.62x54mmR

Description:
One of the earliest Finnish rebuilding programs was undertaken by the Civil Guard. The rifles were designated M24 and are the same basic pattern as the Russian M91. The funding for these rifles was raised by the Civil Guard Auxiliary known as the Lotta Svard and they are often known as “Lotta Rifles”.  This rifle has been identified with a German Bohler-Stahl barrel. The barrel is undated (although were produced from 1924 to 1928) and has the Civil Guard crest of an S topped with three fir sprigs in a shield on the chamber. This is a stepped barrel.

This has the Russian Cyrillic letter II in a circle, meaning "English Contract", cartouche on left side of stock indicating this is American walnut stock, most likely New England Westinghouse. On right side of stock, the Cryllic letters in a circle is a Proof Commission cartouche.
Barrel, receiver, and bolt have matching serial numbers. Various cartouches are found on both sides of the buttstock. [SA] stamped sling is attached. 

Note that this is a one-piece American stock with a birch handguard.

This rifle's stock, bore, and metal are in very good condition. Please see pictures for details.

• Purchasers can request any long gun (up to 48 inches in length) purchase to be shipped in a hard case for an additional $30 fee. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
• Additional fees may be added for long guns with exceptional dimensions and/or weight.
