Finnish M28-76 Mosin-Nagant Target Rifle - LEFT HANDED MODEL 7.62X54mmR

Description:
This is a Finland made m28/76 Marksman/Sniper trainer rifle built on the mosin nagant platform. This rifle has a standard right hand bolt with a left side cheek rest and palm swell. Palm swell has original shooters modification of a slight texture added. As with most of these competition rifles this M27, two stage trigger is nothing short of amazing. This rifle will come with factory original rear diopter and front globe sights.  Original site apertures and front sight insert are present. In addition to rear diopter sight this rifle retains a fully functional and complete leaf site. Also standard on these rifles is the left side t-rail for sling adjustment as well as full length forearm t-rail underneath for sling and bipod installation. Stock is free from cracks chips or gouges. Right side forearm shows a piece of tape with original shooters name, this is easily removed but we have chosen to leave it on. Import Mark found at the bottom of the barrel close to the forend.

Using a CMP muzzle gauge commonly used for US military muzzle measurements and .308, this muzzle gauges at a : less than 0 (see Pic) This would indicate excellent barrel condition. Many of these rifles, like this one, were also reported to have 308 bores which allows users to use more commonly and available size projectiles.

The Finn model 28-76 was at the end of the evolution of Mosin Nagant and more specifically Finish Military competition/training rifles. Most of these were used for marksmanship training in the military. Research has surfaced that very few variants were scoped and used for sniper training and border patrol. Research has also surfaced that only 10% produced we're left hand. This particular rifle is in excellent condition and has a late barrel date of 1969. The bore is excellent, as one would expect from a Finn rifle.

• Purchasers can request any long gun (up to 48 inches in length) purchase to be shipped in a hard case for an additional $30 fee. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
• Additional fees may be added for long guns with exceptional dimensions and/or weight.
