Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 Rifle, Izhevsk 1944 with sling, ammo pouch, oiler, bayonet
Description: The Mosin-Nagant Model 91/30 is one the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units produced since its adoption by the Russian military in 1891. The Mosin-Nagant has probably seen more action than any other military firearm history. Indeed, the Wikipedia article on the Mosin lists no less than 41 separate conflicts from the Philippine Revolution (1896 – 1898) to the recent Annexation of the Crimea in 2014. The reason for the Mosin’s longevity is simple – it easy to operate, repair, clean, has an acceptable level of accuracy, and the ammunition its uses, the 7.62x54R, is still in use by several nations today (including Russia) ensuring a good supply of ammunition for the foreseeable future. This rifle was produced at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1944 during World War II. To the Russian people, this is more commonly known as the Great Patriotic War. In the West, this is the conflict the Mosin-Nagant rifle is most commonly associated with, not least because of the sheer number of WWII video games and films it commonly appears in. As with any that military rifle that was fired with corrosive primers, the bore is pitted, but not terribly so. The rifling is still well defined and with jacketed ammo the Mosin should still provide an acceptable level of accuracy. The stock exhibits the usual wear and tear expected of a former Russian/Soviet rifle. The rifle comes a full kit that includes a sling, twin ammo pouch, an oiler, and a socket bayonet. The rifle was imported by C.A.I. so it does have import markings.
