Russian 1895 Nagant Revolver
Description: RUSSIAN NAGANT 1895 REVOLVER This revolver is in 7.62x38R, it was made at Izhevsk in 1945. It has the metal refinishing mark under the date (a small square with parallel slash). I assume the barrel has been replaced as well as the grips. The pistol comes with original holster and cleaning rod. The bore is as new. It has been refinished to new condition. When I bought this revolver, I had difficulty obtaining 7.62x38R brass and reloading dies. I already had .32-20 items in my reloading room. I bought a Forster reamer in .32-20 WCF and reamed the chambers. You have to counter sink the rims a few thousandths because the .32-20 rims are slightly thicker. You cannot use factory .32-20 ammunition in the revolver because the cylinder is too short. The bullets have to be seated 1/10” shorter than factory ammo. $500.00 My favorite load in .32-20 is 4.5 gr Unique and the Hornady XTP hollow point. This load will shoot into 3” at 25 yards. The plus about the conversion is, the original 7.62x38R ammo can still be fired in it. The revolver came with holster, screwdriver, cleaning rod and lanyard. I have 50 rounds of .32-20 ammo and 62 rounds of Russian 7.62x38R target ammo. I would need $20.00 extra for the ammo. .32-20 reloading dies and brass would be an additional $35.00.
