Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 91/30 sniper rifle with PU scope made by Tula Arsenal in 1944, cal. 7.62x54R, all matching to the original serial number ??193. Rifle with 29-inch barrel, vertically adjustable hooded front sight and tangent rear sight graduated 1-20. Barrel shank marked with the Tula Arsenal logo, the year 1944, and the original SN ??193 that is repeated on the left side of the scope mount, the body of the bolt, the floorplate, and the buttplate. Scope SN: 4403760, no visible date, with vertical pointed post bracketed by two horizontal segments. Hardwood stock with arsenal cartouches on right side of the butt including Tula Arsenal star that is matching dated 1944. Cleaning rod present. Top of receiver with importer markings to include updated SN: “R18016".
Condition:
Near EXC salt blue on barrel, receiver, trigger guard assembly, scope mount and buttplate with sharp edge wear and fine handling marks, factory markings deep and cratered, many areas of hardened congealed grease. Bright optics with properly moving reticle. VG handguard and stock, varnish thinned and flaked with multiple rub marks, most noticeable on the forward stock, the cartouches on the right side of the butt remaining crisp and deep. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
