Description:
Targo was a one-person trap shooting game invented by Mossberg and introduced in the US during the Fall of 1940. It involved using a smoothbore .22 rifle with an attached clay-thrower, with the idea being that a person could throw his or her own clay bird and then hit it with a .22 long rifle shotshell from the rifle. It sold well enough to stay on the market until Mossberg discontinued it in the mid 1960's. This 42TR is one such rifle. It's in average used condition, fully functional, with some surface rust on the barrel and the barrel extension. Unfortunately, we don't have the clay thrower that would have been sold with it. No box or case is included. .22 Long Rifle
