Mossberg Model 42 M ( c ) - Bolt Action .22  Rifle -  Smooth walnut pistol grip style stock with sling swivels and metal butt plate with trap door for extra magazine storage. 24 In. long barrel with open adj. rear sight, S-130 Mossberg Peep sight and a hooded ramped front sight with 4 aperture sight selections. 7 round clip magazine will accept Short, Long and LR ammo. Bore is clean and bright. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 90% bluing. Stock and forend are in excellent condition with minimal handling marks . Includes a new soft sleeve.  The Mossberg model 42 was first introduced in 1935 and began it's transition from a sports shooter into a training rifle given to the British Army under the Lend Lease Program during WW11. The 42 M c was available in different variations. The sport configuration was available from 1940 to 1950. Nice addition to any collection.
