This rifle is break action single shot rifle it features a 24" heavy varmint barrel, matte finish, checkered walnut stock and forearm, sling swivels and fitting to the rifle is Leopold VX III 8.5 25x50 mm long range Scope. The Mossberg SS-1 rifle was originally designed to compete with the Thompson Contender rifle and like the Contender, barrels can be changed to other rifle or shotgun calibers. This model was produced in the 1993-1996 then discontinued.

Condition
The overall condition of this rifle is excellent and shows minimal use and is in the popular 223 Remington caliber. The metal finish is in excellent condition with some very slight edge wear at the muzzle. The wood in also in excellent shape with only slight handling bumps from storage and use. The Leupold scope is pretty much mint condition and is a model that has been discontinued. The rifle is set up like a varmint gun and at a good price.
