The design of this rifle is taken from one built by "B. Samples", Urbana Ohio in the early 1800's. This rifle is new, ( built 2019)45 cal. The stock is hand shaped from a grade 5 curly sugar maple blank. The hardware consists of a Green Mountain Barrel 45 cal x 15/16 octagon x 42", L&R double set triggers and an H. W. Robins flintlock. The brass furniture is handmade, the trigger guard and butt plate are sand castings. Trigger pull is 13 1/4", drop is 3 1/2", cast off is 1/4" and the over all length is 57 ". The lock and barrel are finished to a gray/dark aged patina. The front sight is oversized for adjustment during sight in. Rifle weights 10.2 pounds. Three day inspection, return in same condition.
