Description:
Nice custom .45 flintlock in a Late Lancaster style. It sports an early 38" Green Mountain barrel stamped GMRB on underside. Twist is 1:66. The rifle is stocked in Cherry, with German Silver fittings. The barrel held in place with 3 easy to remove keys and one of the lockplate screws. Very important to remember this!. The lock is a Late English L&R of 70s vintage. I sent it to L&R and they installed new tumbler, sear, fly, and stirrip. Sparks well, but needs a longer flint. Rifle appears unfired and has a bright shiny bore. The trigger is kind of sticky and needs to be pushed forward sometimes. Probaby just from lack of use The toeplate was scratched up during shipping by front sight of another rifle and two tiny wood chips knocked out (see photos) and price reflects this. LOP is 13.5". Rifle weighs about 9.5 lbs. Pretty gun. $850 + Shipping.
