This 45 caliber Alexander Henry - Style rifle was assembled from a (Don Brown - Yakima, WA) kit. It has a browned tapered octagon 1-1/8" to 15/16" x 32-1/2" barrel with 7 lands and groves and 1:20 twist. It is fitted with a MN Instruments tang sight and a spirit level front sight with windage and elevation that is missing the bubble. A 2” rear sight dovetail has been filled. The bore is in very good with sharp rifling measuring .462 groves and .450 lands. A Platnum blow-out plug has been mounted in the hooked breech plug. The P+ grade Walnut stock, with a pistol grip and checkered wrist and forend, is mounted with browned steel furniture, including a pistol grip cap, Ebony nose cap, cap box and sling swivel studs. The browned Henry style bar percussion lock has been fitted with an Alexander Henry style hammer and is activated by a single trigger. Length of pull is 13-3/4", overall length is 49-1/2", Weight is 9.6 lbs. Good wood to metal fit- Don Brown kit - Unknown Artisan. Condition: Good.
