Kentucky - Flint - 45Cal - Maker Unknown Stk# P-99-46
Description: This .45 caliber Kentucky rifle has a 13/16" x 42" browned octagon barrel with 1:66 twist and fitted with fixed sights. The bore is good. The P+++ grade Maple stock is mounted with nicely engraved German silver furniture, including a pierced patch box. It is very nicely carved around the wrist and cheek piece and embellished with wire inlay. A Hunter's Star is inlayed in the cheek piece and has a diamond shaped white insert in the middle. The Haddaway flint lock is activated by double set triggers. Length of pull is 14-1/4", overall length is 58”, weight is 7.8 lbs. Please Note: A crack in the forend, just behind the second set of escutcheons (from the muzzle), has been repaired. The gunsmith who did the repair recommends that the barrel NOT be removed from the stock for cleaning. Very good wood to metal fit - Maker Unknown. Condition: Very Good.
