Mid-1840's G. Bernet of Samedan .36 caliber match rifle with unusual hair trigger, a combination of German and French stecher. 33.9" heavy octagonal barrel with a width of 1.11". Good bore with some patina, tang mounted diopter. OAL=53", LOP=12.8", weight=20.5 lbs. Walnut stock with horn schnabel terminal and classic Swiss Schutzen butt. Iron furniture, original ram rod, bronzed barrel finish, some patina and spots of light frosting, minor tension cracks at the butt end, makers name and address in barrel top, vacant dovetail for open iron sights. Original needlework sling included, in need of TLC. Add this impressive Swiss Stutzer to your collection.
