This is a Brand New Reproduction of the 2nd Model Brown Bess 75 Caliber Musket. The perfect weapon for a Reenactor who portrays either side. 15,000 of the 2nd model Brown Bess were surrendered by General Byrgonne in 1777 and were used by the Americans for the rest of the war. These Museum quality reproductions are finished in our shop and test fired by us. These muskets are used by reenactors and organizations like the Sons of the American Revolution. The lockplate is marked TOWER at the back and has the correct Crown G. R. near the front. The barrel has the correct proof marks on the barrel. The stock is one piece of Walnut. The 40-inch barrel is 75 Cal. the butt plate, trigger guard, comb plate and ramrod channels are brass. The overall length is 58 1/2 inches, weight unloaded is 9 lbs 5 oz..
