Kentucky - Flint - 45Cal by WM Hartman - Milwaukee Stk# P-29-28

Description:
This .45 caliber Kentucky rifle has a browned octagon 7/8" to 3/4" to 13/16" x 42" R Paris & Sons (stamped on the bottom flat) swamped barrel with a 1:48 twist and fitted with fixed sights. Four steel wedges and a pin with an engraved Sterling silver chicken escutcheon at the muzzle secure the barrel to the stock. The bore is very good. The P++++ grade Maple stock is mounted with brass furniture, including a very tastefully engraved pierced patch box, German sliver thumb piece and Hunter's star inlaid in the cheek piece. Stamped in the underside of the engraved brass side plate is By WM Hartman of Milwaukee For LA Dow Johnston of Toledo 1967. The stock is enhanced with very tasteful carving throughout, including border detail along the barrel channel and lower edge of the butt stock. The Small Siler flint lock is activated by a single trigger. Length of pull is 13-1/4", overall length is 56-1/2", weight is 8 lbs. Very good wood to metal fit - made by WM Hartman - Milwaukee.
