***PRICE REDUCTION***
This is a new late Lancaster style .54 Caliber Rifle. It has a 15/16" x 42" Green Mountain Barrel with a 1 turn in 70" twist. This one certainly shoots great, the target pictured was the first five shots off a rest at 25 yd after the proof shot. The rifle was proofed with 250 grain 3F and a patched .530 round ball. After the successful proof I fired 5 shots without moving the sights from the shop. I used 80 grain 3F with a .015 ox-yoke patch and a swaged .530 ball. I am sure that you could greatly improve the group with a little tuning of the load. The stock is a very nice Walnut and the length of pull is 13 1/2", the length overall from muzzle to toe is 58" and it has a 3/8" cast off. The rifle weighs apx. 9.5#. The stock is stained with LMF Walnut and has many, many coats of Tru-Oil which gives a very nice flat gloss finish. the Brass furniture has been aged and really has a classic look. The rifle features a Large Siler lock which is very fast and sparks very well. I used double set triggers from TOW that have a spring tension adjustment as well as front trigger adjustment. I much prefer this trigger because of both adjustments. The patchbox is functional although I never use them, but they look great. This rifle has had a proof shot and 5 other shots through it and is new. This is a nice workman-like rifle that will give the buyer a lifetime of service and is priced very competitively. Reduced to $1200 plus $50 shipping lower 48.
