This rifle saw duty with british forces during the war of 1812, with the 60th Regt and the 95th regt. carried them at the Battle of New Orleans. Mexico purchased thousands of the 1806 rifles from England and the mexican army used them at the Alamo. This reproduction Baker is a great option for reenactors. The Stainless Steel Seamless barrel is made of gun steel. The Frizzen is case hardened and throws plenty of sparks, to reduce misfires. Then barrel is 62 Cal. smoothbore and fires 65 grains of AA Pyrodex. AAA Pyrodex is best for the priming powder for the 1/16th inch vent hole. Shipping is $45.00 to the lower 48.
