Civil War 1856 Pattern Enfield Cavalry Carbine
Description: A Civil WAr copy of an Enfield 1856 mounted carbine . The barrel is 20 1/2" long and the entire gun is only 37 1/4" long. This neat little gun only weighs 6+ lb. As a cavalry carbine, the 1856 Pattern Carbine has sling swivels like a full sized musket would. have and a white canvas duck material like the original. The rust blued lock is marked with the malers name Jaipur, as all these rplics come from India where they have been making arms for Great Britian since the Brown Bess right up until today . /these fine guns shoot good, and are very rugged as the top of the barrel has all the armory proofs from being test fired under higher pressure than a normal load. This 1856 Pattern Cavalry Carbine comes with a period-correct Enfiled type nipple . The lock is crisp and action is tight the haerdwood stock has some feild wear and surface lifting, but not damaged. The bore is about .75 caliber or 12ga SB. Used for Civil War re-enactments they'll ,make a loud bang for sure. The muzzle ram-rod assembly works like an original and even the sling swivel are quite accurate. A good Civil War era Enfield for summr fun! Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost. We don’t have a web site .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. I try to keep guns affordable, which means I make less money than most dealers. You won’t get altitude sickness, or nose bleed, with my prices! I consistently have the best selection of older guns If you attempt to buy, you must still contact us for details . Best to email to buy. Sometimes a local person can stop buy and purchase before the gun is removed. Sometimes not home to get calls. Some guns are required shipment to a gun dealer near you for a transfer to you when it arrives. Otherwise many older or black powder guns ship to your door. With the widest selection of older guns at great prices, We don’t have a store, and sell on the internet only. I’m easy to get along with. Thank You. SOLD Antique: Yes |
