Description:
Ted Fellowes Custom Hawken Percussion Rifle
.54 Caliber Percussion
32" Barrel, Half Octagon, Half Round
Condition: Cosmetically, Excellent. Mechanically the same. Barrel shows no darkness or pitting. Ted was one of the original members of the Cascade Mountain Men, in Seattle, WA, back in the 60's. He was making custom muzzleloaders by 1964, and one of the first of the modern day custom makers. Assuming we have interpreted the numbers on the bottom flat of the barrel, this gun was made in April, 1967. Most of Ted's rifles were what he called affordable guns, that you would not be afraid of taking into the woods, and using to hunt with. This rifle fits that profile. While quite handsome, it is not one of his Deluxe pieces. Quite nice rifle by one of Americas' well known custom makers. Ted passed away a couple of years ago....
