Parker Hale .22-250 Remington. Based on an FN Mauser 98 action, serial D-06364 has a 24-inch tapering heavy barrel (.805-inch muzzle diameter, recessed crown), crisp trigger, two-position safety and a floorplate with molded “engraving”. STOCK: Shaped from an English blank, appointments include a rosewood forend tip, skipline checkering, crossbolt, palm swell (right side), flaring rosewood grip cap and a Monte Carlo comb with scalloped cheek rest. OPTIC: A Leupold Vari-X II 4-12x (gloss finish, one-inch tube, adjustable objective, Fine Duplex reticle) is secured in Weaver mounts. Resolution is tack sharp and lens coatings are strong. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 10.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. The safety engages properly but operates with significant resistance. Metal finish is approximately 80 percent with freckling on the barrel and light tarnish. Wood is approximately 85 percent. The price is firm. $1,000 plus shipping.
