This Parker Hale 1858 Officers Short Percussion Rifle in .451 caliber is a faithful reproduction of the classic British Enfield-style short rifle. It features a 33" barrel with ladder rear sight and globe front sight, along with a case-colored percussion lock and hammer nicely marked with the Parker-Hale logo.
The straight-grip walnut stock is complemented by attractive brass furniture including the buttplate, trigger guard, and forend tip. It includes the original brass-tipped ramrod. Note that a rear tang peep sight has been removed, leaving visible mounting holes.
Condition is very good overall with strong finishes and pleasing appearance for a black powder rifle of this type.
A very nice example of the Parker Hale 1858 Officers Short Rifle — excellent for reenacting, historical collecting, or black powder shooting enthusiasts.
