This Parker Hale Volunteer .451 caliber muzzleloader is a faithful reproduction of the classic British Volunteer target rifle. It features the desirable Alexander Henry Rifling — a multi-groove system developed by the renowned Scottish gunmaker Alexander Henry, known for exceptional long-range accuracy and widely used in 19th-century target shooting (and later influencing the Martini-Henry military rifle).
The rifle includes a 33" barrel, adjustable ladder rear sight, fixed blade front sight, case-colored action, and traditional brass furniture. The checkered walnut straight-grip stock carries the correct Parker-Hale cartouche.  The barrel is marked "Parker-Hale LTD. Birmingham England" and "Alexander Hemry Rifling .451" The trigger guard tang marked "Made in Italy".
Condition is very good plus with minor abrasion marks. These Parker Hale Volunteers with confirmed Alexander Henry rifling are highly sought after by black powder enthusiasts and historical shooters.
